From the first classroom to a life of their own
One secure workspace for community-based organizations, schools, the families they serve and the universities looking for their students.

Discover, without names
A university filters a pool of students by year, interests and more. No names appear. When a profile fits, it asks the organization for an introduction.
Recorded in the demo workspace. Every person and organization shown is fictional.

What we are building
A place where every community-based organization can reach every university in the United States and around the world.
Our mission is to connect the community-based organizations of America, so the right students find the right colleges. An application can now be polished by a machine that has never met the student. A counselor at a CBO has. We built this platform so the people who know a student's real story can carry it to the colleges that should hear it.

- Harvard University
- Stanford University
- UC Irvine
- UC San Diego
These are demonstrations we prepared to show each team. The universities named here have not endorsed or joined CBOs of America.
A university never sees a student's name until the CBO and the family both say yes.
One workspace
Most CBOs run on a CRM built for sales teams, a chat tool, a folder of spreadsheets and a form builder. Together they cost about 4,000 USD a year, and none of them were made for students.
CBOs of America puts that work in one place, with student privacy rules built into the database instead of written in a handbook.
- The CRM
- A roster and caseload for every counselor, with tasks and progress for each student.
- The chat tool
- Team channels for staff and direct messages with students and parents.
- The spreadsheets
- One record per student, shared by the people allowed to see it and no one else.
- The form builder
- Intake and consent forms that families can fill out and sign on a phone.
Who it is for
CBOs
Your roster, caseloads, tasks, team channels, family messages and forms in one place. You decide which students are listed for universities, and you answer every request before a family is asked.
See what a CBO getsSchools and counselors
A counseling office works next to a member CBO at no cost. Shared students, shared tasks, one thread with the family.
See how schools take partStudents and families
Students see their tasks and messages. Parents follow progress. Nothing about a student reaches a university unless the student, or the guardian of a minor, says yes.
See what families controlUniversities
Search a pool of students by graduation year, state, interests and GPA band. No names. When a profile fits, ask the CBO for an introduction.

How a student is introduced
Four steps, in this order, every time
CBOs list students in a pool with the names taken off. Universities browse that pool. Identity only moves when two separate people agree to it.
University01
Asks for an introduction
A recruiter finds a profile with no name on it and sends a request that says why they are asking.
CBO02
Decides first
Staff who know the student approve or decline. A declined request ends here and the family is never asked.
Student or guardian03
Gives consent
An adult student decides for themselves. For a minor, the guardian decides. Staff cannot answer for a family.
Release04
Identity is shared
The university can now read the profile. Every read is logged. Access ends after 12 months or the moment it is revoked.
Security first
Student records are the most sensitive thing a CBO holds. The rules that protect them live in the database, where an interface bug cannot skip them.
- Row level security
- Every table checks who is asking before it returns a single row.
- Two-step sign in for staff
- Admins, counselors and recruiters confirm a code from an authenticator app.
- An audit log
- Every time a university reads a released profile, the read is recorded.
- No ads, no trackers
- No advertising or analytics scripts run on the site or in the workspace.
